I am a new westhost user working on Win2K system. In order to upload a large number of html files I compress these files into file.tar using 7-Zip, then use Win-GZ to gzip into file.tar.gz.
However, When I use PuTTY with SSH commands:
I get a server reply:
gunzip: /var/www/html/file.tar.gz: not in gzip format
What am I doing wrong? How can I tar these files on a Win2K system that can be decompressed by westhost server? I can not figure out, please help me solve this problem. Many thanks for your help.
