    Default Relaying denied

I use M$ Outlook for email at home and get a relaying denied error when I try to send email. The FAQ states that I should be able to do that. Any suggestions?

I think there are two possible reasons for this problem:

Either: your ISP does not allow you to use 3rd party SMTP servers (to send mail)

Or: you need to do a check/receive before you can send. I'm pretty sure that the WestHost server needs to log your IP address when you've done an authenticated receive (even if you have no mail) so that it knows to allow you access to the SMTP server.

    Default Getting it working

Checking the log into incoming mail server before sending email under the more settings under accounts did the trick.

    I'm glad it worked.
