    Default Domain whois privacy

If I enable "domain whois privacy" do I still own my domain?
From what I've read elsewhere some companys implement "domain whois privacy" whereby another company actually owns the domain, as a way of getting around domain rules.
How does it work at Westhost? Do I still own my domain if I use the "domain whois privacy" service?
You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.

I don't use the privacy option through WestHost but I do use it on some of my domains that are registered elsewhere and the way it is implemented is that you still own the domain but your contact information is replaced with a service that simply forwards any contacts on to you. I am pretty sure that is the same with WestHost since they are a re-seller for eNome. These two links explain it.
