Default Westhost 3.0 kernel upgrade policy

What is Westhost's policy regarding applying updates to Apache and the other parts of the WH3.0 system we are unable to upgrade ourselves?

    Thanks
    Richard

The answer is probably what you would have guessed, we'll take care of it. I suppose you just needed us to state it to ensure your hosting platform will still function as it should so, there you go

We will continue to provide you with the solution you signed up to receive while continually developing new solutions/options for your hosting needs. That could sound a little cliche but I can honestly say we are constantly thinking about our clients, especially those who have been with us for years, and how we can help you.

    Thanks for the question.

It would seem that WH3 is end of life. The current versions of some applications available from SiteManager have serious security holes and only two applications have been updated this year.
eg OpenSSL v0.9.7a has 37 vulnerabilities, with the worst having a severity rating of 10/10 according to http://www.cvedetails.com

While some of the applications are no longer under active development (eg Uebimiau, Perlfect Search, FastCGI, Darwin Streaming Server, FormMail, Ruby on Rails, eAccelerator, AWStats, and SpamAssassin), the remaining applications are. However, most of the apps have not been updated since 2011 despite newer releases being available. The current state of affairs can be seen in the table below - sorted by release date of the SiteManager version (excuse the formatting)

    Code:
