    Default Mime type for .jad/.jar

I tried writing an htaccess file for my server to recognize .jad and .jar files. I used this text:

    addtype text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad
    addtype application/java-archive jar

However, when I try to use a mobile phone to access the .jad, I get "Operation Failed".

    Anyone got any ideas?

.jar files require that you have java installed on your account. I think that .jad files are the same. Have you installed java on your account? Could be the WestHost supplied java does not support .jad files and would need some tweaking.
