    Default frontpage replacement suggestion

after searching for almost a year, i have found two decent alternatives to micro$oft frontpage:

SUPER EASY to use, but the company is slow in answering emails

this one is a bit more difficult, but it has a REALLY cool feature - it can import existing front-page webpages! this one needs to get filed under 'how-cool-is-that'.

i used this as a guide:

both of these read and write its own 'internal' file, much like a word document. this makes it handly for collaboration.

i have yet to see if they support templates well - thats my next challenge.

    Default adobe contribute

I think this one is your best solution.

you can download the trial and see if it is what you need.

I am also in the process of finding a replacement for Frontpage.

I am taking a good look at Content Management Systems. It appears that they will do everythying I want them to do.

I'm currently considering Drupal. One of the big advantages is that you are supposed to be able to set it up so that you can run multiple sites from one codebase on a vps. IOW, you only have to keep one copy patched while using that to run perhaps a dozen sites

For my sites, a CMS means that I can add content no matter where I am.. ie travelling. For my clients, I can set things up so that they can add and change content - ie restaurant menus, easily.

adobe contribute is OK but a bit $$$$$$ for my taste.

dont overlook Joomla too for CMS.

    another client-side freebie:
but they tell me its been around forever. opinions?
