Hi All,

2 problems with formmail...

1st, the form works fine,

BUT

The actual email address of the recipient appears within the form - reveal codes and there it is for any spam robot to see. I tried a bit of javascript that works anywhere else to give a working, clickable email link on screen but does not appear when you reveal codes. Apparently, trying to call the js within the form does not work. Any ideas on how to hide/encrypt the email address within the form?

2nd problem...
A spammer has recently taken to hijacking the form to send spam. Apparently a robot (or moron) can insert info into all the fields and submit the page which appears in my email inbox to the tune of dozens of times a day. They've found two westhost sites (different recipients) that use the form. Anybody else having this experience?

tnx,

rfs

1. Use NMS Formmail, which does not put the recipient details in the page. Search the forum for plenty of details on that.
2. If a spammer wants to send you dozens of spam everyday, then he must be a moron. You could simply change the name of the script to get rid of the robot. Again, see other posts on this forum for more details.
