View Full Version : Running rdiff from a CGI script

I'm guessing this is an obvious answer, but I get a high signal to noise ratio when I try to Google for anything to do with Perl, CGI, and the command line.

I need to run rdiff from within a CGI script called from a form on a web page. I've tried installing the File::Rdif module from CPAN, but it's not installing, so I'm stuck with the command line command, which I was able to install.

I am guessing this may be a security feature, but if not, is there any way I can run a command like rdiff from within a Perl CGI script?

Thanks for any help!

Okay, sorry about that. I had run tons of tests and checked logs and everything else. I had not counted on the fact that at 3:30 am, it's hard to catch typos and there was a 1, as in the number, in place of an l, as in the letter in "/usr/local/bin/rdiff". It's working now, but there's still another problem, I'll post it in the appropriate section.
