Hello,

I am trying to setup an online form that will allow for 2 attachments to be emailed along with the form. I am able to submit the form to a designated email address, but the attachments (photos or word docs) show up as text. Any help would be GREATLY apprecitated. I have been told that java script may need to be used, which I have no experience with. I have attached the current html code to the form below:

<FORM METHOD=POST ACTION="http://jameakafranklin.com/cgi-bin/formmail/FormMail.pl">
<input type=hidden name="recipient" value="info@asapmodels.com">
<input type=hidden name="subject" value="New Talent Submission from Website">
<input type=hidden name="redirect" value="http://www.asapmodels.com/asap_models_007.htm">
<input type=hidden name="return_link_url" value="http://www.asapmodels.com/asap_models_007.htm">
<input type=hidden name="return_link_title" value="Back to Main Page">
Full Name:
<input type="text" name="Full Name" value="" size="20">
Phone:
<input type="text" name="Phone" value="" size="20">
Email:
<input type="text" name="Email" value="" size="20">

Upload Photos:
<input type="file" name="a_file" size="20">

Upload Resume:
<input type="file" name="a_file" size="20">

<input type="submit" value="Submit">

THANK YOU!!!!

<FORM action="http://jameakafranklin.com/cgi-bin/formmail/FormMail.pl"
enctype="multipart/form-data"
method="post">

You have left out the enctype="multipart/form-data". :) ... but I would look at useing something like TFMail (http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/scripts.shtml) instead of FormMail for this.

Hey,

Thank you for your reply............

I tried to replace the code with the code you suggested, but got the following error:

Error: Bad/No Recipient
There was no recipient or an invalid recipient specified in the data sent to FormMail. Please make sure you have filled in the recipient form field with an e-mail address that has been configured in @recipients. More information on filling in recipient form fields and variables can be found in the README file.

Any suggestions? Again, thank you for your kind help.

Rob Padgett :) :)

Well I could not remember for sure when I first replied to your post but I checked MSA FormMail code and it does not support attachments. That is why you don't get anything. :)

You will need to move to a different program like the TFMail I suggested.

Thank you again for your help. I have not heard of TFMail.

Where and how to I go about getting this setup?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,
The link is in my post above where I first mentioned it to you. If you go to that page it shows all the programs they over. Scroll down some and you will see TFMAIL which is an enhanced version of FormMail. Right below it is an Auto installer for it. I actually used that down load and it worked fine without any hitches on a WH VPS. It is simply one file that you upload and then run. There are instructions in the download zip file.

Much of the documentation for the script is inside it as comments much like FormMail so you will have to get your hands a bit dirty. Once you get the hang of it. It is a breeze!
