Hi,

1. I read that you don't accept payment for an account via PayPal. OK. But can I let customers in my store pay using PayPal?

2. I'd like to install Oracle 10g XE on my site (why learn MySQL when I know so much Oracle and like it!). Any problem with that?

Thanks,
Dan

The answer to number 1 question is that there should be no problem at all with that if you have a PayPal account and if the store you install has the ability to connect into PayPal.

Not sure on your second question if it is possible or not but I have the feeling you will have some problems with it. :) I am not familiar with it and was looking on thier site for the requirements but could not find them. You might want to contact WestHost to ask them about this.

Hello Dan,

1) You can certainly use PayPal on your website.

2) You can install most types of software applications. We cannot guarantee that they will work and we are unable to offer technical support for them but you are more than welcome to try to install it. We do offer a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee that you can take advantage of to try it out.

Hi,

Good news about the PayPal.

I checked into the Oracle 10g XE and discovered that the license in not for commercial deployment. I guess you don't host Oracle databases for your VPS, right?

Yes the only thing available with your VPS is MYSQL. It really is not that difficult to deal with and there are tools to make it easier like phpMyAdmin that can be installed on your VPS via the SiteManager.
