Using miva 5
1. First problem is the product attributes are being shown as attribute codes in basket contents and all phases of checkout. Example should say Style and Color:Beefy tee white it show the attribute code "stc:bew" instead of the attribute name.
2. Shipping Modules both Ups domestic and fedex won't update. On Ups it won't accept my postal code saying it is an incorrect postal/zip code. On fedex it says the account number is an invalid code.

I am getting very frustrated with both of these problems, i have spent countless hours communicating with uninformed tech support on my host and searching through online resources.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best place to seek answers for this would be the Miva Site Help Section (http://smallbusiness.miva.com/support/docs/merchant/index.html). I am not sure if your host is WestHost or not but normally in this forum we address problems that are related to how things are set up on a WestHost VPS. It sounds like your problems should be fairly generic and the Miva site should lead you to some answers.

Looks like my first problem needs a mod, that isn't out for Miva 5 yet. These mods would solve the problem but are only available for Miva 4.

Thanks for the link i have looked there for hours but you never know when i might see something pertaining to my problem.

I was able to find a MM5 module that would display the attribute prompt here:
http://store.latu.net/miva-modules-5/LATU-ATTOPTPROMPTS.html

Also, why not rename your attribute codes to more closely resemble the attribute prompt/names? So instead of "stc:bew" you'd have "Style_and_Color:Beefy_Tee_White". I suppose it's a bit ugly, but better than spending an extra $50 to do something so basic?

Thanks for the link i have not come across this mod in my journeys. As far as using "_" i do know about it, but i figured it looked pretty bad considering a couple of the attributes are fairly long and would require 5 or 6 underscores. This may be what i do temporarily to overcome Miva's deficiency.
