We have an apparel store so we need to be able to track inventory by attribute (color & size). I am totally new to Miva but from what I have read it sounds like I need to purchase a module like Inventory Manager by Viking Coders as well as OpenUI.

Does anyone know if these will be compatible with Miva 5...I hate to buy something that is already outdated or to help me do something that will already be built into the next version.

Also if you have used this product is it pretty simple? Will OpenUI change the way the rest of the Miva admin works?

Any suggestions or advice for a newbie would be greatly appreciated!

That is correct. For reference
Viking Coder's Inventory Manager (http://www.jmhonline.net/miva-modules/inventory+manager)
OpenUI Look and Feel Basic (http://www.jmhonline.net/miva-modules/openui+look+and+feel+basic)

OpenUI is not available with Miva 5. Inventory Manager will "probably" made available for MM5, but it isn't currently.

If you read the docs, it isn't too bad. OpenUI will give you everything the MMUI did and a TON more. It will blow you away.
