Hi all,

2 days before i changed the IP address of ns2.mydomain.net from
66.132.157.73 to 69.36.161.12(ip of WH-DNS) via "Site Manager"
-->"Domain Management"-->"DNS Records" and the change took
effect yesterday for couple hours, because i pinged ns2.mydomain.net,
it showed me new IP 69.36.161.12.
But later as i pinged it , i got its old IP 66.132.157.73 again.
How did this happen???

and ns1.mydomain.net takes still old IP, it seems that it will not be changed
any more?

any idea?

Stonix,

Most likely, you have had this resolved by now. However, in case you have not, I have this:

A while back, I had a problem using my site manager to alter my dns records for one of my sites. I used the contact form:
http://members.westhost.com/contactus.html
to open an e-ticket and got the problem resolved by WestHost.

They emailed me back and had fixed the problem:

Dear Howard,

I have made the necessary changes to your WHOIS info. I do apologize for this inconvenience, I don't understand why your changes aren't being processed. If you ever need to make these kind of changes, just email 'domainreg@westhost.com' with the needed info, include your username and password for the register.westhost.com/admin/ site.

I expect that you will have the same success. If you do not get a response via the contact form, you can always email them at:
domainreg@westhost.com

They are usually pretty fast and thorough about responding, although I believe their domain registration department is not open on the weekends.

Howard
