View Full Version : Perl Module Problems

Hey Guys.. I have a really ODD error that i was hoping someone can fix. I am using the perl module XML::Simple I have installed the module successfully. I have tested the module through a test script via SSH and it works perfect. However the second I include the "use XML::Simple;" line in any of my perl scripts it causes an internal error. I know the perl scripts work perfect.

Does anyone know what is going on? I have tried this with both modperl and without. CPAN says the module is installed correctly.

I would suspect that when you are working through the shell, then the module is in the path, and when running through the web server, then it isn't... ?

Do you have any idea how i can modify the path that apache is using ?

Where do you have XML::Simple installed?

I created a folder called /perl5lib . I followed the instructions westhost provided for installing perl modules. I successfully installed DBI and a couple other modules, but this one is the only one to cause problems.

Take a look at:

see if something there (on how to find modules) helps you out.
