I followed the directions here:
http://codeworks.gnomedia.com/westhost-introduction/perl-modifying-the-installation/

to begin installing Perl modules. After I do the config steps, I run:
install Bundle::CPAN
and accept all of the defaults. It then exits and this is the error:
Failed Test Stat Wstat Total Fail Failed List of Failed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
t/dualvar.t 11 2 18.18% 8-9
1 test skipped.
Failed 1/19 test scripts, 94.74% okay. 2/189 subtests failed, 98.94% okay.
make: *** [test_dynamic] Error 11
/bin/make test -- NOT OK
Running make install
make test had returned bad status, won't install without force
Running make for K/KW/KWILLIAMS/PathTools-3.01.tar.gz
Is already unwrapped into directory /home/davegandy/.cpan/build/PathTools-3.01
Has already been processed within this session
Running make test
Won't repeat unsuccessful test during this command
Running make install
make test had returned bad status, won't install without force

And suggestions?

Thanks,
-Dave Gandy

There is a bug with newer modules and old versions of perl. Here is what I think is your problem. Not really any workaround here due to older version of perl
