I was able to install the script via the control panel and then index the site. However, when I go to test the site in my web browser I get the The requested URL /var/www/cgi-bin/search/search.pl was not found on this server. I have the permissions set to 755. The Perlfect manual says this.....but I am unable to get the URL to work?

I believe this is the right past....I also noticed any html files in this path so not work as well......

Here is my URL....

http://school-psychologist.com/var/www/cgi-bin/search/search.pl
http://school-psychologist.com/var/www/cgi-bin/perlfect/search/templates/search.html

Does anyone know the error of my ways?

The setup utility will have the search script installed inside your cgi-bin directory, in a subdirectory called perlfect/search/. So if your cgi-bin is at the URL http://mydomain.com/cgi-bin/ the location of the search script will be http://mydomain.com/cgi-bin/perlfect/search/search.pl. Point your browser to this url to see if it works. If the script has been installed correctly and an index has been successfully created using indexer.pl, this URL should return a results page for an empty query (i.e. a page that tells you there are no results).

You don't need the /var/www when you are accessing via a browser. All you need is this.

http://school-psychologist.com/cgi-bin/search/search.pl
