I'd really like to have MySQL 4.x installed on my domain. Can you guys at Westhost tell me when this will be possible? A year ago I asked by email and I got an answer somewhat like "When WH2.0 is finished".

Any info on that?

A newer version of MySQL, 4.x, would be great!

Hey folks!

We are planning on making some upgrades to our existing software. We do not a have firm time line of when we will release the upgrades but it is one of our top priorities!

I have to concur on this issue.

MySQL 3.23 has become a liability in terms of the scope of what I need to develop. The MySQL 4.x releases have been stable, well supported globally, and provide additional functionalities that are, quite honestly, more in line with how developers code.

I too was told (August 2004) that we would be seeing servers arriving with MySQL 4.x releases sometime "soon." I really wish that WestHost could shed some light on even an approximate timeline...
