I have a resellers account. After I setup an account it takes a while for the domain name to point to the new account. How do I access the new account till then?
I read the

http://your-domain.com.yourtempsite.com/ (replace "yourdomain.com" with your domain name).

I dont understand this. I do not have a http://your-domain.com just a Reseller Manager.

I'm confused.

WH informed me of another way to access a site. You need to take note of the IP address that is displayed for that domain within their control panel. Also, There are 2 time delays you need to be aware of.

1) When you first create the site in your reseller package, it can take anywhere from 5min to 3hrs for the Westhost DNS servers to recognize the new domain in their system.

2) Then when you chagne the domain's Name Servers to point to WestHost, that can take up to 3days. (usually within 24hrs though).

So, back to your question, WH told me, and it works, you can access your domain this way:

where xx.xx.xx.xx is the IP address from within the domain's control panel, and the domain-name is the domain name (yoursite.com)

Does this make sense?

When you set up an account in your reseller manager you enter the domain name for the account you are setting up right? I don't think you can get around that. If you entered monkeytails.com for the domain name of the account then you would access that account using...

WestHost owns yourtempsite.com and is using it to route new sites to their server location until they propagate.... or something like that.

Does that help to clear it up?

If you wanted to access the SiteManager for the new account you could do it in two ways either via your Reseller Manager by clicking on the account or one of the symbols next to it... can never remember which one that is... or you can use a url like this....
