OK so I have read a lot about hacks that allow users (without reseller accounts) have emails separate across domains. Ex) user@domain1.com is completely separate from user@domain2.com. I am thinking about implementing this hack that I have heard of, but I have a couple of concerns.

1) Has anyone had this hack get messed up from routine maintenance and updates from westhost.
2) How hard is it to implement this hack?
3) Can someone please give me detailed instructions on doing this?

I would appreciate any help on this issue. I have talked with westhost about this feature, and they said they HOPE to support this feature in the next couple of months. I am not holding my breathe, because as much as I love westhost - which I do because they are the best that I have seen and I have seen a lot, the only thing I have noticed that is bad is they are a little slow on feature requests like this. I need to decide on if I will be implementing this hack, or just waiting until the feature is supported (whenever that may be).

I am not a unix guy at all and have followed the steps from CK1 on the following post. It works great!!

I would suggest that you FTP the files he talks about to your local machine as backups and also use textpad (www.textpad.com) to edit the virtusertable from your local machine and then FTP it back up to the site.

I just did this over the past weekend and it was easy.
