View Full Version : If i buy a Resseller package can i transfer my accounts?

I have 4 accounts with Westhost, all standard starter packages. I would like to buy a Resseller Account now but can i transfer my existing accounts (standard packages) to a Resseller account? And how does it work?

I also need advise on if it would be worth it for me to get a Resseller package or not. I found a page on Westhost website once which was explaining this well but i don't seem to find it anymore.

Thank you!

I bought a reseller account and am having WestHost moving accounts over. Right now you can't move any 1.0 accounts (but I hear that they might provide that ability later), if any of your accounts were switched to 2.0 you can.

They have special form to make the switch, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it now.

There are actually two forms that you'll need to fill out to do this.

This is only needed if your accounts are not yet upgraded to WestHost 2.0.
It takes approx. 2 weeks for this upgrade.

This is the form to fill out to have WestHost change management control of your account(s) over to you. Any accounts included on this form must be upgraded to 2.0

Once you've setup a reseller account, and had your accounts transferred to your control, you will be able to manage nearly every aspect of those accounts. As far as billing, any remaining amount that has been paid on your standard hosting will be credited to your reseller account once those accounts have been moved, and you will no longer be billed for the individual hosting accounts (just for your reseller package).

Hope this helps clarify things.
