The easiest way would be to upload an index.html file to your "email" directory that had a link to http://acadie.biz/cgi-bin/plugins/neomail/neomail.pl that said "Click Here To Log In to NeoMail" You could also add a redirect to that index page that would automacticly redirect them to the neomail script.

I am exploring other methods to direct to neomail right now through the SiteMeter and will let you know if I come up with anything.

You could put a index file in your /email folder, and use SSI to call the neomail.pl file and load it in that page. That might work. Or you could just use a redirect.

Couldn't you just setup your subdomain to point to the /neomail/neomail.pl file? Then you wouldn't need any redirct or links...

To setup a subdomain, check the manual... if there is no "New" button you don't have any extra subdomains to install. You can either delete one or if you are signed up for some ask westhost to fix it.

I thought the same thing about pointing the subdomain to the neomail.pl. When I did it told me that /neomail/neomal.pl was not a directory so I simply pointed it to the directory... ofcourse this gave me a forbidden error since there was no index.html file in that directory when I tried to access through web browser.

I think perhaps your soulution is the simplest.

If you do use lazerdesigns idea make sure that you name your index file... index.shtml.

I am still looking at other ways.

Thank you for replying to my post! I'm not too good with this stuff, i don't really know how to do a "redirect" so my page (index.htm) would go to http://acadie.biz/cgi-bin/plugins/neomail/neomail.pl by itself.

You could do an SSI includes like this:

<!--#include virtual="/path/to/plusmail/plusmain.pl"-->

or use any redirect, using META or javascript. Search Google for that code, I don't have it in front of me.
Let me know what works, right now I just have a link setup, I'd like to do something a wee bit quicker though!

OK i found a way to redirect. Here's what i did. In my folder "courriel" i made a file called index.php with:

Header("Location: http://acadie.biz/cgi-bin/plugins/neomail/neomail.pl");

If i go to www.acadie.biz/courriel it redirect perfectly. I now setup a subdomain "courriel.acadie.biz" that point to my "courriel" folder but the url don't work... maybe it takes time for it to get valid or something... or maybe i did something wrong again...

Both www.acadie.biz/courriel and courriel.acadie.biz work for me - it redirects me to your NeoMail script.

Both work for me also. Seems as if you found a solution. It is amazing how many ways there are to acomplish the same thing.

It works for me too now. I'm really happy. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for this advice! I just had this exact problem, and you answer (index.php redirect.... of course!) was just what I needed. Thanks!
