I would like to allow my website visitors to upload pictures. Is there any script available? My Perl upload script cannot handle images.

Thanks.

There are hundreds of photo gallery management "programs" out there. I would recommend using a PHP one as it will be the easiest to maintain and edit, etc. You can find a suitable one at www.hotscripts.com but specifically:

http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/File_Manipulation/Upload_Systems/index.html
http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Image_Galleries/index.html

I am also writing one of my own, but it will take a few more months to complete. It'll be freeware. I could let you know when I am finished (so you can take a look at it) if you like?

When I was running my own server, I like gallery (http://gallery.sourceforge.net). You could create users and permissions and everything.

I've written a Perl 5 program that extracts base64 encoded jpeg images from e-mail messages. I use a plubic domain base64 decoder program (written in C) to perform the conversion. Procmail is used to automatically feed e-mail messages to my program which arranges for their display. Not exactly the method you are asking about, but there is more than one way to skin a cat and if anyone is interested I could provide a *******ized version.
