I'm frustrated that the new cPanel platform has had such trouble. The first day I had the account set up it was down for the better part of a day or two. I waited a bit to start transferring clients sites, everything looked good. Then once I got everything transferred and cancelled my old reseller account trouble again. Today the sites are really slow or not responding at all and network status notes SAN is having issues. ...and I can't tell my clients what's going on or how long it will be before things are back and stable.

I'm not a happy camper today.

Can anyone explain why this new "self healing" cloud computer system "allowing virtual machines to be moved to a new location on the Cloud in the event of a failure..." is not working? Is this all marketing talk without practical application?

Okay, now network status says that the issue was a failed hard drive.

I'm really confused, since one of the 'benefits' of the cloud platform was that "virtual machine could be move to a new location in the cloud in event of a failure". [ http://www.westhost.com/cloud-hosting/why-cloud-hosting.html ] The self healing feature seems to really suck, or my understanding is flawed.

How does cloud hosting really work?
