View Full Version : /manager directory removal

I really need my /manager changed to a new directory.
This is because I have an encryted script which needs to use this directory for its manager.

Is the only way I can install this script by reinstalling it as a sub-domain to get rid of the /manager in its main www folder?

Or is there an easier way to perhaps rename the current manager folder??

You can't change the existing /manager directory name since it is owned by root. I doubt that West Host would even do it for you since it is such an intricate part of the system.

I am surprised that a script that is encoded does not allow some leeway with where it is installed. Can you put it in say /var/www/html/script/manager? Often scripts allow you to input the install or web root directory and you could make that /var/www/html/script. If not then your only option well be to go the sub domain root.

I have success and the script is now working!

I copied the entire contents of my www folder into a new folder and changed the document root in the httpd.conf file.
