View Full Version : logging into cp without javascript?

We just signed up, and can't login, because there's some goofy script redirect in the Site Manager main page:

<html>
<head>
<script>
self.location="/cgi-bin/.admin.redirect.sh"
</script>
</head>
</html>

What does that translate into?
I've already tried the obvious (tacking that onto http://YourDomain.com/manager/).

Lowering my browser security settings is not an option, so please, let's not digress into that. :(

Other than that, Westhost support has been great! I don't want to pester them at this hour, so figured I'd post here. :)

It is simply redirecting your browser to yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/.admin.redirect.sh

Ah! I had only tried the full version (see below), and didn't think of just removing the "manager" part - thanks! :)

[21/Oct/2007:04:28:15 -0600] "GET /manager/ HTTP/1.1" 200 93
[21/Oct/2007:04:28:36 -0600] "GET /manager/cgi-bin/.admin.redirect.sh HTTP/1.1" 404 312
[21/Oct/2007:04:28:53 -0600] "GET /manager/.admin.redirect.sh HTTP/1.1" 403 308

Alas, the cp effectively does not work without javascript (couldn't even logout). :(

Is that a 3.0 only issue?
One of my colleagues asked several months ago, and was assured that the cp was functional without javascript, but that was in the 2.0 only days.

Not sure if javascript is a requirement of Site Manager on 3.0 or not. You might want to shoot a support ticket off to WestHost to check.

Why is it you do not want to allow javascript? You can set your browser to allow only approved sites to use javascript.
