Has anyone had any problems after the recent (I assume for a lot of accounts) IP address changes? Mine was changed last night, and this morning all of my sites that I host were down. I looked into it, and something caused mysql to crash, so rebooting my VPS brought MOST of my sites back online. There is still one site that is down, and the reason is that they apparently didn't update their DNS servers with the new IP address for that particular domain name.

Anyone else have any issues? I contacted WH this morning, but they haven't been quick to jump on this. What was supposed to be a short outage while the IP address changed, has turned into much more, and I'm wondering if they didn't properly think this through, or if I am an isolated case.

My account was moved a week ago. The only issues that I have run into is that my new server (110) is much more heavily loaded and my cron jobs appear to have stopped running.

cat /proc/loadavg
27.36 20.10 15.56 7/1484 11408

Did you volunteer for the WH3 Upgrade Beta?

I took part in the WH3 beta, but not the upgrade beta. I replied too late and it was closed.

All of my sites were probably down from midnight to 8:30am when I rebooted, but one site is still down, 3+ hours after sending a support request. Guess I have to call.

Well, after the initial problem of WH not rebooting after the IP change, the rest of the problem was my fault, 'cause I had my DNS routed to DynDNS for this particular domain, and the A record there pointed to the old IP address.

Hold times can vary but right now our hold time is less than 2 minutes.

my "sendmail on alternate port" broke because the site ip address is hardcoded in the /etc/mail/sendmail.mc file. westhost didn't update it when they changed my ip address. i probably could have fixed it manually but i just uninstalled and reinstalled it.
