Default New upgrade - when ?

Hi WH & fellow resellers, I just received WH newsletter today saying they'ved revamped their site & updated certain packages.

As mentioned in their Newsletter " Current Reseller 1 clients will
automatically be upgraded to the new package as the price has not
changed. "
Old package was 15 G Bandwidth + 20 G HD
New package 20 G Bandwidth + 40 G HD
----------------------------
Way to go WH ...

I'm on reseller 1 & haven't seen the changes reflect on the Manager site yet. Would like to ask if fellow resellers here had the new package reflected on their packages ?

Haven't checked mine yet but in anouther post a WH rep mentioned that the changes should be reflected on our accounts soon if they are not already showing up.

Doesn't 20 G Bandwidth sound kind of small if you have 12 domains in Reseller 1 package? One domain will be allowed only about 1.5 G.

I mean if you bought a regular Value package you would be allowed 20 Gig. That's what I used to have.

What do you say?

4Ever,

WestHost also allows you the option of reselling our default starter, value, deluxe plans as well for a % off discount. The reseller packages, however, offer much more versatility and opportunity for higher margins to the reseller. We also allow our resellers to oversell on their accounts. Using this method, you can offer as much bandwidth as you'd like on your accounts. For instance, you could offer packages with 5 gigs of bandwidth if you wanted. In the event you exceeded your bandwidth you could order more from WestHost and pass the expense on to your clients. In truth, most of our resellers factor this cost in to their packages with their normal pricing plan. For instance, if you sign up for the Reseller 1 on the quarterly option, you are paying roughly $3.40 per VPS per month. However, most resellers are creating markups of $8-25/month for the VPS and thus have already assumed the cost of any additional bandwidth they need to purchase. Your margins continue to increase substantially as you continue along the value chain as well. As advertised on our site, you can get your VPS/month charge down to as low as approx $1.60/month!!

We have a number of resellers exploiting the benefits of the reseller packages to their fullest potential. It really is a very good program to be on if you are interested in reselling hosting.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
