File attachments such as gif & jpgs really cloggs up the mail system, do you guys run a cronjob " sendmail -q -v " to clear the mail system on heavily email trafficked sites ?

Email system clogged up ?

I've had a problem with the mailq the last few weeks as well. It is getting very annoying - it seems that any relatively large e-mail is queued up for hours, and running a "sendmail -q -v" doesn't clear it (load average too high). I am not using the cronjob - there is no point. I just keep retrying every few minutes when I really need to access the e-mail that is queued.
