I have a client that wants to send emails to her opt in list she gets from sign ups at her site. I don't want to violate any SPAM laws or raise any flags if I just run a script to burn through the list.
What would be the best way to do it so I don't violate anything? It's not SPAM at all but rather a newsletter type of thing.
Thanks,
guysmily

Take a look at some of the programs, westhost offers. You could use Mojomail, and this could manage the list entirely. Otherwise, I would suggest running through the list using either perl or php. I don't think you would violate any laws, as long as the user actually signed up to be a part of your list.

Thanks for the reply! Sending the emails would be easy enough with a script/app. I just liked the idea of Mojo mail like you suggested. I'll check it out.
With as many clients as I have, I try and make sure I check things out before I jump in.
Thanks again,
guy
