I have a Miva merchant 4.19 and I only use paypal to collect money. But I don't know why the modules add shipping cost and charge on paypal again. Please let me know how can I change it.

Shipping charged twice using MIVA V4.19 with Paypal
I'm having the same problem with Miva V4.19 that shipping gets charged first time during Miva checkout, and then the second time in Paypal. I guess the second shipping charge in Paypal is sent by Miva.

To fix Paypal double shipping charge
This problem could be fixed in Paypal as the following:
1.Log into your Paypal account
2.Click [Profile]
3.Click [Shipping Calculations]
4.Set 0 for all cost
5.Click [Clear Setting] button
Then Paypal will only show the total amount sent by Miva for checkout.

I thought I was the only one having this problem! This has happened to me several times in the past, and now I have one or two customers, in my same state, that keep getting charged twice for sales tax! Only when they pay through paypal. Yes, I've already changed all my settings at paypal.
Paypal customer service says its a Miva issue.
Westhost customer service says its a paypal issue.
Round and round we go............................

Shipping is still being doubled
Here it is 2009 and Miva 4.x is still having problems with Paypal doubling the shipping. I have set my Paypal shipping amounts to $00.00 and also set Paypal to Free Shipping option, but as soon as the customer clicks to pay for the order and it goes to Paypal, the shipping is being doubled. Miva says they are not sure if this can be remedied, and directed me to search forums for the answer. Paypal says it is Miva. Miva says it is shipping settings in Paypal.

anyone find a remedy?
Thank you,

I would bet this is a User error. Remember you have two completely different sites/programs that you are dealing with here. PayPal and Miva (WestHost is not involved in this issue or problem in anyway). If you are calculating your shipping, handling or taxes via the Miva program at your site then you need to go to the Pay Pal site and log into your account there and make sure that you are not having it add these things. Double check and then double check your settings again.
