Has anyone successfully installed ssl for python 2.5 so that the HTTPSHandler is available?

I've installed the latest OpenSSL, and can install ssl into site-packages with _ssl2.so being compiled, but still no HTTPSHandler.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.
