I have an online business and just added a section called Press Releases. As our company creates Press Releases they will be added in this section of our website.
My question: How do I submit them? I don't know if there's one specific place to submit them, if they are submitted to the API, or if there are multiple ways. I did a Google Search and found tons of places saying to submit you Press Release but I don't know if there's one place to do it or multiple places. How do I go about doing this?
Thank you for your help.

Mark,
I would bet that there are tons of services that do this. I would investigate some of those services you found on Google and see what they are offering. You might also want to check out the Associated Press's website. http://www.ap.org/
I am not sure if they really have a webservice but this is what is on their FAQ.
Where can I send a press release?
Send an e-mail (no attachments) to info (at) ap.org. If you have a story of local significance, you should send your idea to a local AP bureau. The AP has a bureau in every state capital.
If your story has national or international significance, you can mail your press release to AP's National Desk or International Desk at The Associated Press, 450 W. 33rd St., New York, NY 10001Shawn

Do an RSS feed from your website.
Here is a link to an article on how doing RSS feed news: http://www.enfeedia.com
If your website is new, you would be best to use an already established news feed network, that people are ready getting information from.
In that case publish your news at free-press-release.com or if you are a company with a bigger budget you would use prweb.comLast edited by wildjokerdesign; 09-23-2011 at 09:10 AM. Reason: fixed first url

PRWeb would also be a leading source for putting out a press release:
http://www.prweb.com/
PHP Link Directory - most widely used directory script on the net
phpLD Support - phpLD Templates - phpLD Articles
