Make it easier to update apps

One thing I'd love to see in the reseller's Server Manager is the ability to more easily update applications for our service packages. Right now, you have to edit the service package, and scroll through the huge list of apps to see if anything new is added. (This is especially annoying when you receive an email from Westhost saying an app is "coming", but you don't know when).

What I'd like, is to have a screen which tells you:
(1) if any apps installed for a service package have been updated
(2) which apps have been added to the list recently

This would make it much easier to take care of our clients' needs.

On a related note, I added some of the recently added applications (e.g. Python 2.5, MySQL 5.0.29) to a Service Package but they did not show up on an existing account.

Is it possible to make these new applications show on an existing VPS account without having to create a new one?
