Third Party DNS

Is there any real issue with using a third party DNS service? I like the control I have with DNSMadeEasy, including a nice short TTL.

No issue at all. I use DnsMadeEasy with my westhost account and love it.

I'm like you, I like the control I have so that I can do things like update my SPF records, point certain subdomains at westhost vs another hosting provider, etc...

You might try using www.easydns.com. My experience
has been that it is easy, and highly reliable.

I've been using DNSMadeEasy for over a year with WH and all works great.
