Shared SSL on Non-Primary Account?

I know that I can secure a page on my primary domain by making the URL link as follows:

https://ssl4.westserver.net/yourdomain.com/securefile.html

However, I want to secure one of the secondary domains on my WH account with the Shared SSL--how would I do that?

Do I have to make it a page within the primary domain directory?

Ultimately, I want to have a page in my second domain, secured by the Shared SSL, that would use formmail to deliver client enquiries to me. Does anyone foresee any issues with this?

Yes, you'll have to place the page inside the files for the primary domain. One way to work with this is to create a symbolic link to your additional domain's files. What does that mean? Suppose the following:

primary.com's document root: /var/www/html
secondary.com's document root: /var/www/secondary

The following command would create a symlink so http://primary.com/secondary/ (and thus https://ssl4.westserver.net/primary/secondary/) "resolves" to /var/www/secondary

$ ln -s /var/www/secondary /var/www/html/secondary

When I tried to do this Westhost said it was not possible.

The previous poster's idea would technically work, but the way things are setup at Westhost the secure connection would never be made.

I ended up having to get a second account for the domain I needed with its own SSL (godaddy.com has cheap ones that are easy it install w/ Westhost).
