I had used cgimail for an once a year application, Because of the security concerns I have removed it.

Now I am looking for a suitable replacement. I currently use NMS FormMail so I am familiar with it.

What I liked about cgimail was the ability to do some formatting of the output. In the text file, for example, you could put:

Street Address: followed by field name such as "addr"
City, State, Zip: all three fields in a row

NMS FormMail dumps out one data field on a line.

Any recommendations for a substitute?

Hi ccwebb,

I didn't find any freeware that did a really good job with this (there used to be one called Alien Form that was pretty spiffy, but it's not supported any more)

Recently I broke down and bought a 29.95 thing called Form Processor Pro (www.email-form.com) and though it takes a few minutes to configure all the "stuff" the outcome is really impressive: a "preview" page before sending, mathematical calculations & if/then statements if you need them, all kinds of handy formatting stuff.....perfect for the persnickety client I was doing work for at the time.

Sorry it's not free, but it was worth it to me in this instance......hope that helps

There is also a version of NMS Formail that called TFmail that allows you to format the way cgiemail did. Took me a bit to get the hang of it and had to go back through the documentation a couple times but now is pretty easy for me to make changes.
