Can I change the phpBB logo?

Is there a designated way to change the logo, or just save it with the same name and replace?

Yes you can do that. You can also change the subSilver.cfg file and the overallheader.tpl. There is more in this thread http://forums.westhost.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1534

It all depends on how much changing to the look you want to do. In /phpBB2/includes/ there is a header and footer php file that you can modify.
