Monthly Transfer Amount

I am a new reseller and I'm wondering about the monthly transfer amount. I signed up for the Reseller 1 account which comes with 15 GIG of monthly data transfer. This seems low. If I were to provision the 15 GIG equally over my 8 VPSs, that would equal 1.875 GIG per account. Compare this to the Starter web hosting package offered by WH which offers 6 GIG of monthly data transfer. Other hosts seem to offer basic hosting packages with monthly data transfer between 5 GIG and 20 GIG for less that $10 per month.

I'm I missing something here or this what should be expected for a reseller account (I understand WH has to make a buck too). My only concern is re-selling an account that offers less than 2 GIG of monthly data transfer for about $10 to $20 per month when others offer packages with significantly more transfer. (The same could be said for storgage space as well.)

It seems I would be better off trying to re-sell a Starter web hosting package from WH: $7.95 / Month, $19.95 Setup, 250 MB Space, 6 GIG Transfer. But obviously I wouldn't have branding, etc.

Do any experienced re-sellers have advice to offer? Either regarding data transfer, provisioning of resources, pricing, etc.?

I guess it depends on what kind of sites you're hosting. My two biggest sites rarely, if ever, go above 1Gb/month. The two smallest sites average less than 5Mb/month.
The average over all the sites comes out to about 250Mb/month...

Plus, if one of the sites ever gets real hot, I can purchase extra bandwidth ($3/Gb)and charge the client a bit extra anyway. At some point we should be able to do that instantly through the Account Manager.

The advantage of this side of the Reseller packages is that you work on the averages of the sites.

The same applies to the diskspace issue... my two smallest sites each have less than 10Mb, the largest sites about 200Mb.

I have to agree with jalal. The sites I host, even though they are good customers of mine and the sites get decent traffic, I don't see high levels that I can't contain in my total reseller package.
