Index.htm/html and Miva storefront

Okay, I'm really ignorant here - what is the index.htm/html file supposed to say? Should it reference the /Merchant2/merchant.mvc+ file? I don't see anywhere where Miva has created an index file for me to upload.

Your index.htm (or html) file is the first page that people will see when they go to your site. It doesn't have to have (and usually doesn't) any thing to do with your cart.
